Born in Portugal and raised in Maryland, Fatima has lived in Texas since 1991 with her family.
Fatima’s interest in photography started in the ‘80s with training and education using 35mm film and the wet darkroom in high school and college. Shifts in technology propelled her into the digital realm taking her back to the classroom to master digital at Rocky Mountain School of Photography in their Career Training Program.
Fatima's work is exhibited nationally and locally including 2011 and 2012 Wine & Chocolate Lodi Wine Commission (California), Gulf Coast Community Services Association, Fort Bend County Annex Building, V the Gallery, Babaloo’s, Grand Vision, Hilton Garden Inn - Katy Mills and SpringHill Suites/Mariott - Katy Mills and FotoFest 2012.
As a commercial photographer, Fatima's work is published in magazines and her Paintersville Bridge image proudly adorns the label of the 2010 LangeTwins Winery Pinot Noir. Additionally, you may have seen her images on websites, brochures, billboards for Hasta la Pasta restaurants, LangeTwins Winery & Vineyards and other national and local businesses. Fatima has served as a State Visual Arts Judge for the Texas PTA and teaches workshops and seminars on photography and camera usage.
